Lifeline Support Systems (Brochure No: 03-083-35)

In the event of reduced visibility due to a mine fire or similar incident causing smoke or dust haze, the lifeline can be followed with direction indicated at each support point by tapered directional ‘cones’.

These cones allow the mine personnel to walk to safety and offers reassurance that they are walking in the right direction even at zero visibility.

• Simple system uses coated stainless wire rope.
• Accessories to fit roof bolts.
• Fits to roof bolt using either fixed length conduit,
as pictured, or by a length of chain to allow lifeline
to swing out of way when it is installed in transport
  roadways.

Clip on directional cones
Recommended spacing of every 20 metres in accordance with NSW mines department guidelines.

Spheres (not shown) can also be located along lifeline to warn of hazard or location of Self Rescuer or C.A.B.E. caches.

Lifeline wire is supplied in 250 metre rolls for ease of handling and installation.

Austdac has available a complete range of lifelines, directional cones, support rods (in a fixed or adjustable format), reflective discs or streamers, or any other ancillary equipment you may require for your application.

Use of Lifeline with Communication System

Use of radio aerial cable instead of coated stainless wire rope, gives the additional bonus of enabling voice contact with personnel on the surface.

It can be used with the M-Comm voice communication system, as pictured, to allow communication during escape.
