Information
The
Austdac intrinsically safe uninterruptible power supply type
12/LA/12 has been designed to provide I.S. uninterruptible
power that operates a nominal 12 volt 880mA.
The
input power for the UPS requires a nominal 110V or 240V Exd
protected mains power, in order to charge the battery and
provide an I.S. 12 volt output.
The
UPS utilises a 12V 12AH sealed-lead-acid battery to overcome
the troublesome memory effect exhibited by nickel cadmium
batteries.
The
unit has a built in charger that will charge the battery and
support a load while the mains power exists. When the mains
power is unavailable the UPS 12/LA/12 uses its battery to
support the load and maintains a constant 12 volt I.S. supply.
The output circuit of the UPS has the same parameters as the
AC25W resistive power supply.
The
UPS 12/LA/12 is also fitted with a timer that will disconnect
power to the load, after a redefined time period of standby.
A front panel mounted button can be used to reset the timer
and provide load power for another time period. The timer
can be disabled if not required.
