The innovative
Audio Messenger Interface (AMI) from GAI-Tronics® provides
superior quality digital tone/speech generation and offers
telephone interface and feedback elimination capability. A
Smart Media® memory card stores the configuration programming,
the voice and tone recordings, and provides CD-quality sound
reproduction. With the capability to generate emergency tone
alarms, pre-recorded voice messages, and automated normal
operation announcements, the AMI is the answer to many communications
needs.
To meet
even more customer requirements, the AMI can provide repeated
messages and background music for commercial and industrial
applications. The unit works with GAI-Tronics communications
system or can be installed as a standalone unit with either
a new or existing central amplifier system. The internal feedback
eliminator feature prevents acoustic feedback during the recording
and playback of live pages.
The telephone
interface option allows the user to dial in and make announcements
over the public address system. When used with a Page/Party®
or Smart Series® system, the user will be connected to
a party line for full-duplex intercom communication.
The AMI
rackmount unit is housed in a a 1U steel and aluminum enclosure
suitable for mounting in a conventional 19-inch rack or placed
on a table, desk or shelf. The wall mount unit is housed in
a glass reinforced polyester enclosure.
