The acoustic
hood is the answer to High Noise Environments and is specifically
designed for installation and service within industrial, petrochemical
and offshore environments.
The high quality
design, construction and materials used ensure Mean Noise
Reduction over the speech interference band of 400Hz to 2500Hz.
Tests carried
out by the Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA) established
the reduction to be 23.1 dB when the hood is used.
This performance
is superior to other products of this type and provides increased
Health and Safety protection to plant personnel whilst protecting
operational equipment from hazardous environments.
The Hood is
suitable for internal mounting of telephones and intercom
outstations and for external fixing of Flashing Beacons or
Extension Sounders.
