As a
requirement of AS1755, all lanyard pullwire cables should
be labelled indicating that the pullwire cable can be used
as an emergency stop.
The Austdac
TAG003 allows you to comply with this requirement.
The tag
is 19cm long, 5cm wide and can be attached in several orientations
using cable ties. The tag can be mounted such that it can
be seen clearly when looking down the line of the conveyor.
In some
existing installations when tape label is used
as an emergency label they can not be seen clearly and, therefore
do not clearly identify the purpose of the pullwire cable.
The Australian
Standard AS1755-2000 Conveyors-Safety Requirements Section
2.9.4 states:
Each manually operated stop, start
or other function control shall be identified with markings,
signs or labels in writing, clearly indicating the purpose
of the control; and that signs shall be provided at each end
and every 30m along a conveyor where a pullwire is used e.g.
emergency stop.
